Official name of organization:
AD German Warehouse Conservancy, Inc.
PO Box 436
Richland Center, WI 53581
My name is Sheila (Strang) Troxel and I grew up on a dairy farm by Sabin with my parents and 7 siblings. I have lived in Richland County my entire life and chose to raise my two sons, Andy and Aaron here. I have worked at Wallace, Cooper & Elliott Insurance for 42 years starting out as a secretary and then becoming the sole owner after my business partner, Mike Edwardson, died from agent orange, which he contracted while serving our country in Vietnam. I'm passionate about our community and watching it grow is exciting. My staff and families are dedicated and committed to giving back to many worthwhile community projects. I'm very proud that Richland Center is home to the AD German Warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and The Richland Center City Auditorium. I feel it is of great importance that the two boards are working together to complete both projects. I served on the original committees for the 100 Extraordinary Women and also the 100 Men Making A Difference, which each raised $100,000, for the restoration of The Richland Center City Auditorium. I also was the chair for the 100 Extra Extraordinary Women for the AD German Warehouse which raised $100,000 for that cause as well. Currently I'm working on a project asking 25 businesses or individuals to commit to pledging $10,000 over a period of 5 years. To date there are 15 businesses/individuals who have joined me in this and in turn, we will have the naming rights to the Visitor Center/First Floor and our names will be etched in glass at the main entrance. I personally feel by restoring these two buildings it will bring much tourism to Richland County and in turn promote and sustain many of our local businesses here as well. I encourage and ask everyone to "Shop Local, Love Local, Grown Local”. Respectfully,
